It's so fun to start more new traditions! Sophia wasn't too into the whole process really, just the end product! We couldn't get her to touch the inside of the pumpkin at all! We asked her which shape she wanted the eyes and nose and whether or not the mouth should have teeth, how many, etc. This gave her some ownership over her pumpkin, but of course we didn't trust her with any sharp carving instruments just yet!
