Each morning when Charlie leaves for work he says goodbye to both of us and I love you. Sophia started responding with "bye, bye, Daddy. Luh you." I mean could it get any cuter? It is really the most precious thing you've ever heard. Of course Mommy still hasn't received the "luh you" but Daddy gets it every day! Here are some other cute things she's been up to lately:
counting to 10: So, she doesn't get every number right, but she comes darn close!
squealing: This isn't always a desirable trait, but when she knows she's going to see her friends or go someplace fun she squeals with delight at the news.
hugs and kisses: She is starting to give her friends (and some relatives) hugs and kisses hello each time she sees them. She still gives hugs and kisses frequently to her animals, but is usually stingy with the kisses to mom and dad, oh the nerve!
memorizing books: She has a few books that she's begun to memorize. Also, she now knows many of her books by name or at least by a main character or phrase. Her favorite book right now is The Mitten by Jan Brett. She thinks the bear who sneezes is about the funniest thing on earth!
talking on the phone: On the "real" phone she isn't such a talker, but on her play phones, watch out! She speaks into them like me...scary! She usually starts out with hello followed by a bunch of gibberish and then puts the phone up to my ear, just like I do to her. She will sometimes talk on the real phone but doesn't say much besides the other person's name.
sliding: she says "weeeeeeee!" every time she goes down a slide
sharing with Walter: again, this is not always a desirable thing, but it can be really cute...she will try and put her sippy cup towards his mouth, she tries to include him in games, talks to him often, and gives him lovies every morning.
dancing: She is still quite the dancing machine! She dances in the car, in the house, at the park, on a walk, whenever the mood strikes her. Recently she was dancing to a toy that she has, a stuffed bunny that sings when you a push a button. After she was done she pushed a button on another toy and a song played. She put the bunny on the floor, looked at it and said "dance, Bunny."
trains Coco: Coco is a life-size stuffed Golden Retriever and Sophia loves her! She recently began trying to train her and give her commands all on her own. This is maybe some of the funniest stuff ever! I have a darling video of this that will posted soon!
achoo!: her latest game, probably derived from reading The Mitten, is to say Achoo! over and over again. She will then say the name of someone else in the room who is to continue with the achoos! until she deems fit. On a side note, she will say "bless you" anytime someone in the room sneezes for real. Gotta love good manners!
I'm sure I could go on and on...but I'll stop here for now!

Too adorable!! I can imagine that the phone thing is what it seems to her - you say hello into the phone, then you speak a bunch of gibberish, and hand the phone over to Sophia - no wonder she doesn't talk much on the "real" phone! :) Just wait until she's 12...she'll get the hang of it! :) Precious stories! Dance, Bunny!
Dance, bunny! I love it! Can't wait to get more hugs and kisses!
