Road Trip!

Because Halloween just wasn't enough fun...we decided to go on a road trip the very next day!  Stacy proposed that we head up to The Mall of America for a fun weekend getaway, and not one to turn up my nose at fun, agreed.

It was a chilly drive!  Soph is bundled up watching a movie!

We stopped at a rest stop in Iowa and it was just too pretty not to take a few minutes to run around and enjoy the scenery!

It took us far too long to arrive at the hotel.  Between the two cars and five kids, we had to do a lot of stopping, which was not ideal.  We finally made it and everyone was exhausted.  But we had fun the next day when we hit the mall!

Anne came over to help me unpack the kitchen and I let her stay and help us carve pumpkins too!  I'm so nice like that.  :)

Time to read about Trixie the Halloween Fairy!

The kids designed their own faces but it was raining so we weren't able to light them up on the porch.  They had to wait until Halloween.  Luckily, they made it through the night but the next day we found two of our jack-o-lanterns were pillaged.  The kids were very upset, but at least we enjoyed them on the big day!

Trunk or Treat

This was our first Trunk or Treat experience and I would say it was pretty fun.  The weather was perfect for it and Sophia was super excited to do it at her school.  The cousins came along too!

At KK on Halloween, they give you a free donut if  you come dressed in costume, so the three of us definitely wanted our free donut!
