Friends!

Aubrey and Lauren turned 5 last week!!  Crazy!  The foursome continues to be good friends and love getting together to play as often as possible.  This is their third year (I think) in a row to have a super awesome water slide as their party and there were no complaints from my peanut gallery!  Happy birthday, Girls!

Squeezing it In!

We are trying to eek out the last little bit of summer we have left!  Cooler temps and busy schedules didn't leave us many pool opportunities this summer. :(  Charlie was working late one night so I fed the kids an early dinner and we squeezed in a little fun before bed.

Camp Out Time!

We went camping with our friends, The Millers, at Clinton Lake.  It has been our two year tradition now, and we're hoping to keep it up.  The kids enjoy sleeping in a tent and we enjoy the time to unplug and hang out together.  All four kids get along great and all four parents get along great too! :)  This year Hilary's cousin, Malory (15), came with us too.  We were only able to stay 2.5 days but we still had fun!  Although, our tent is so huge that it by the time we put it up, it would be nicer to stay for longer! :)

* it was a lot colder than anticipated!  I mean it was July for crying out loud, but I was NOT prepared...so Hilary and I made an emergency run to the nearest Wal Mart (thank goodness for GPS) to stock up on some warmer clothes.  The only, and I'm not exaggerating, the ONLY long sleeve clothing they had in the store were camo clothes...so we figured might as well outfit the guys too!  We found 3/4 length sleeves for the girls and I only found long pants pjs for Leo, but I bought an extra blanket too.  I will be more prepared next time with my clothing and bed options!
